Mr. Narendra Kumar and his son Mr. Manish Kumar hail from a family which has been in the Tea Industry for over six decades. Moreover, they have four decades of experience in the Trade Industry.


Mr. Narendra Kumar, chairman of the group, is a Law graduate with Masters in Science. He served the Board of Bennett Coleman & Co. Ltd. (Times of India) for almost 49 years and has held several key positions in various associations and apex bodies of the Tea Industry.

Mr. Manish Kumar is a Commerce graduate with a diploma in Business Management from Harvard University, U.S.A. with a wide exposure in export marketing of tea and yarns. Currently, he is active as the main committee member of CITI – Confederation of Indian Textile Industry.

His pragmatism, dynamic leadership qualities and straightforward approach has added new dimensions to the business and taken the Wearit Group to greater heights. He has been instrumental in the group’s diversification from the Tea Industry into the Textile Industry and eventually the foray into Renewable Energy. Today, the group has four yarn manufacturing facilities in the textile hubs of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, producing roughly 40000 MT of yarn annually.

Almost 80% of the quantum is exported around the globe resulting in an export turnover of approximately US $ 120 million (₹ 700 crore).

It is his inherent business acumen, coupled with modern management, which has earned the Group the coveted awards from the Synthetic & Rayon Textiles Export Promotion Council (SRTEPC) of the Government of India, for export of yarns from India.
